Help save ag from the perils of ferals

posted Tuesday 25 August 2020, updated Tuesday 1 September.

Feral pigs pose a significant threat to Australia’s $60 billion agricultural industry, destroying crops and pastures, spreading weeds and diseases like African Swine Fever, and preying on livestock.

They also cause serious damage to the natural environment.

The Australian Government has funded Australian Pork Limited to establish a National Feral Pig Management Coordinator to develop, deliver and engage producers on a long-term solution to this noxious pest.

But they need your help to do it.

It’s important that our industry takes this opportunity to contribute ideas and feedback to make sure we benefit from the Government’s significant investment in its future.

It would be appreciated if you could take this anonymous 15-minute survey, before it closes at midnight Friday 4 September 2020.

Questions or comments can be emailed to the National Feral Pig Action Plan.
